"tile wall" was a piece created during a three-month residency in leipzig, pilotenkueche. a development in the one-line project, it was an experiment to look at what remains after tile is cleaned after being painted. as the tile is not porous, it does not receive much paint after cleaning, but the grout keeps the layers of color.
to get a good dataset from this experiment, 100 lines were painted and cleaned on the same tile section over the course of a week. each line had an inventory number, and everything was carefully documented.
the remaining exhibition results are the tile wall, the video documentation of the project, and a printed excel table showing the time data of the project.
