The Long One is a sculptural work that is based on Karl Valentin’s concrete comedy objects, and the social media phenomenon “the long way” where people make content of long sandwiches, cigarettes, cars, etc.
Wanting to participate in this hyperspecific zeitgeist, I produced an elongated desktop computer that reaches 2 meters long in the x-axis.
The work continues to hold its functionality, and also includes a disk drive that automatically opens and closes at random intervals.
